The Public Alpha is a Divi 5 "lite" that is fully functioning but lacks certain features and modules. Due to its lack of features, it will be suitable for building new sites and testing but not for use on some existing Divi sites.

The Public Beta will begin once we have added all migration-blocking features to Divi 5 and addressed feedback from the Public Alpha. The Beta will be the finished version of Divi 5, pending any bug fixes found during the Beta phase.

We will release an official Divi 5 once we have addressed feedback from the Public Beta. It will be available as a regular Divi Theme update in your WordPress dashboard.
As outlined in Divi 5's original multi-phase release schedule, the Divi 5 Public Alpha is like "Divi 5 Lite." It's missing a few features and may not be suitable for existing websites, but it's ready to be used on new websites if you prefer the experience to Divi 4.
